The Team

Arnaud Créput

Chief Executive Officer

Arnaud Créput joined Smart as Chief Financial Officer in July 2015 and became Chief Executive Officer in July 2018.

Prior to this, he served as CFO and Board Member for over ten years successively — five years for Coheris Group and six years for ORSYP Software (which was repurchased by Automic Software in 2014).

Arnaud started his career as a mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets finance analyst at Deutsche Bank AG and BNP Paribas.

He received his degree from ESSEC Business School in 1999.

Michael Nevins

Chief Marketing Officer

Michael Nevins joined Smart in 2017. He has more than 20 years of experience, including extensive work in ad tech go to market strategy.

Most recently he was Global Head of Product Marketing at Taboola. Previously Nevins was VP Global Marketing at Spongecell and held the positions of Vice President Mobile & VP Mobile Product Marketing at Undertone (acquired by Perion). Prior to Undertone, he held senior roles at global advertising media company GroupM (WPP) and mobile pioneer Crisp Media (acquired by Quotient).

Nicolas de Robert

Chief Technical Officer

Nicolas de Robert joined Smart in June 2006 as the company’s Technical Director.

He previously worked for four years as a development engineer for the software company Ilog.

Nicolas has a diploma from the École Polytechnique (X97) and from the ENSEEIHT.

Romain Job

Chief Product Officer

As Chief Product Officer, Romain is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of product development, platform strategy and operations, and product design. He also works closely with R&D, Sales & Operations and Marketing to help Smart achieve its overall business vision. He joined Smart in April 2007 as a Sales Engineer for France. In 2009, he assumed overall responsibility for the German office as well as for the Central and Eastern European markets. In 2014, he became US Regional Manager, where he led the growth of Smart’s business division in North America. Prior to Smart, Romain was a Sales Engineer at AT Internet, a web analytic company. He has also co-founded a wind energy consulting company. Romain holds a master’s degree in Engineering from École Centrale de Nantes.

David Pironon

Chief Programmatic Officer

David Pironon joined Smart in June 2007, initially as sales director for the French market.

Before that, David worked for five years at Yahoo! as sales manager and business development manager, and two years as a consultant at Oliver Wyman.

He holds master’s degrees from HEC and from Dauphine (Université de Paris IX).

Joseph Lospalluto

Regional EVP Americas

Josep Lospalluto joined Smart in April 2017. He is Regional Executive Vice President of Americas and a member of Smart’s executive committee. Joseph drives all business operations throughout the US, Canada, Latin and South America for Smart.

Joe has over 12 years experience spanning the intersections of media, data, marketing, and technology.

Previous to Smart, Joe held various global business development management roles helping adtech companies strategically educate, grow and scale their businesses into the worlds leading media companies.

Ingrid Couasnon

Regional EVP EMEA

Ingrid Couasnon joined Smart in 2009 as Business Development Manager, and is now Regional EVP EMEA. Ingrid was formerly Senior Business Development Manager at Yahoo! for 4 years.

She graduated from the Ecole de Management de Normandie and Audencia Nantes Business School.

Juan Manuel Alvarez

Country Manager in Spain

Juan Manuel Alvarez joined Smart in January of 2015. He has a bachelor’s degree in law and a PDD from IESE. He has a vast amount of experience — over 15 years — in the internet industry. He worked at Telefonica for 7 years and then as entrepreneur, founding his own internet agency. It was sold successfully 6 years later.

Weverton Castro

Country Manager Brazil

Based in São Paulo, Weverton is responsible for Smart’s development in Brazil.

He joined Smart in 2017 and has over 10 years of experience in sales. His most recent experiences have focused on digital marketing and retargeting at companies such as RTB House and Criteo.

Weverton has a MBA degree in Marketing and Sales from FGV (Fundação Getúlio Vargas). He also has a Business Administration and Management degree from Birkbeck University of London.

Lasse Nordsiek

Area Manager DACH

Lasse Nordsiek has been active in the online business for the past twelve years, eight of which in key positions at renowned companies such as AOL, Lycos, Hi-media and the retargeting specialist Next Performance.

Before switching to Smart this spring, he had been working as Director Strategic Sales at the DMP provider The ADEX. Today, Nordsiek is located in Berlin and managing Sales and Business Development for Smart in the DACH region.

Adrian Behr

Area Manager LATAM

Adrian Behr has been head of Smart’s business development in Latin America since March 2014. He splits his time between the headquarters in Buenos Aires and Mexico.

Adrian has extensive experience in the digital domain. He previously worked as business development manager for Fon in Brazil and Madrid. He also served as operations manager at Lenovo Argentina.

Adrian Behr holds a master’s degree in Marketing and Communication from the University of San Andrés and a degree in Business Administration from the University of Buenos Aires.

Andrea Ceccoli

Country Manager Italy

Based in Milan, Andrea began his career in the late nineteen-nineties working in marketing and HR for international services and consulting companies.

In 2010, he joined Emailvision where he built and developed the Italian office from scratch. In 2013, he joined Smart, where he is responsible for the company’s Italian branch. An economics graduate, he speaks English and French fluently and he is passionate about sports and jazz.

Malgorzata Kmieciak

Area Manager CEE

Based in Warsaw, Malgorzata is responsible for managing Smart’s business and sales operations in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). She oversees the planning, development and implementation of Smart’s sales strategy across the region. Malgorzata joined Smart in February 2018 and has over 10 years of experience in diverse sales environments, especially with leading global companies such as Adform and Google, where she was consulting on ad technology and digital solutions for key media agencies and direct clients.

Malgorzata holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Poznan University of Economics.

Cyril Awad

Country Manager New Markets

Based in Paris, Cyril manages Smart’s business development and sales activities in the Asia Pacific, Middle East and the Nordic region. He joined Smart in September 2017 and is responsible for Smart’s sales and partnership strategies across these markets.

Prior to Smart, Cyril was Sales Executive for Finastra (formerly Misys) where, for four years, he was in charge of business development in Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine. On the side, he co-founded and managed CHBK Network in 2012, a YouTube partner and video content management company in the Middle East.

Cyril graduated from HEC Paris Business School in 2012.
